Monorail cranes are lifting devices designed for handling loads within a limited workspace. Compared to other types of cranes, their construction is simpler – consisting of a beam structure and a hoist that moves along the beam.
These devices are used for moving semi-finished products between machine tools, handling construction materials, or moving casting mold, etc.
Their design allows the manipulation in spaces with limited access, for example, between machines or in narrow aisles.

Technical data and preconditions
The hoist and its trolley are available in both electric and manual versions. Every device with an electric trolley is equipped with limit switches that first slow down the movement of the hoist when approaching the end of the beam and then stops it. At the same time, the hoist is equipped with mechanical overload protection.
The beam can be firmly anchored to the ceiling structure of the hall (e.g., to steel trusses) or mounted on independent columns fixed to the floor.
When anchoring to the ceiling, it is important to take into account the load capacity of the existing structure and perform a static assessment (if one has not already been done). The beams of mobile cranes are usually made of steel I-profiles, which ensure the required strength and stability of the entire structure.
They can be equipped with a pendant controller or wireless radio control, which allows the operator to work at a safe distance from the load.
If bidirectional movement is not required during material handling and there is no need to relocate the device due to the nature of the work, a mobile hoist might be the best choice.
