Professional crane test under load

What types of cranes do we inspect?

We are certified experts in inspection of bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, light crane systems and and lifting equipment. Our priority is to ensure maximum safety of lifting equipment.

Legal requirements

As designated lifting technical equipment, cranes are subject to strict inspections. We are authorized to issue inspection reports according to the Slovak decree 508/2009 Z. z., which means that all inspections are carried out in accordance with the applicable legislative regulations. Based on this decree, every crane operator is obliged to ensure regular professional inspections and tests of their cranes.

What does the revision, resp. inspection involve?

Essentially, it involves inspecting cranes to ensure they are functioning properly and are safe to use. We offer our Clients a comprehensive inspection that includes a thorough check of all safety features and components of cranes. Our technicians carefully inspect the mechanical and electrical parts of cranes to identify potential risks and they alert you in time to fix them.

How long does the inspection take?

The crane inspection itself does not usually take long. Depending on the design and complexity of the equipment, it takes approximately one hour, provided that the equipment is in proper technical condition and no problems are found. Therefore you do not have to worry that you will not be able to use the equipment for a longer period of time. If serious technical faults are found during the inspection, we can resolve them upon request. However, until these faults are resolved, it is not possible to issue an inspection report and we recommend that the Customer refrain from using the equipment until the repairs are completed.

Do I also need an Official Inspection?

It depends on which group the lifting device is classified in. We distinguish between two groups according to príloha č. 1 Vyhlášky č. 508/2009 Z. z.:

Group Aa Group Ba1
Electrically powered cranes with a load capacity over 1,000 kg
and manually operated cranes over 5,000 kg
Electrically powered cranes up to 1,000 kg (including)
and manually operated cranes up to 5,000 kg (including)

If your equipment is classified as group Aa, you must have a valid Official Inspection in order to comply with legislation. Inspection reports without a valid Official Inspections are not valid. If your equipment is classified as group Ba1, an official test is not mandatory.

What is the result of the revision?

The result of the crane inspection is an Inspection report confirming the technical condition of the equipment and its safe operation. It contains any defects and shortcomings found and a decision on further operation. These documents are routinely checked during work inspections and in the event of accidents.
